Sam Houston football is preparing to return to a dramatically renovated Elliott T. Bowers Stadium in 2026. The approximately $60 million project replaces the stadium’s aging west-side press box with a five-level facility featuring luxury suites, club seating, expanded concessions, modern restrooms, a covered concourse and upgraded broadcast facilities. More than a cosmetic improvement, the renovation will create new revenue opportunities, strengthen athlete and student recruiting, improve accessibility and give alumni and businesses better ways to connect with the university. The result will be a stadium designed to support Sam Houston’s future as an FBS program in Conference USA.
