9 Texas Pumpkin Patches, Corn Mazes & Fall Farms Worth the Drive in 2026

Texas does fall a little differently.

We do not get six straight weeks of sweater weather and blazing maple trees. We get a 92-degree Saturday, one suspiciously perfect cool front, a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, a funnel cake, and somebody insisting it finally feels like October.

Honestly? That works.

For 2026, the best Texas fall farms are less about standing beside a pile of pumpkins for ten minutes and more about making a whole afternoon out of it. Corn mazes, hayrides, live music, flower fields, farm animals, fireworks, food, adult drinks and after-dark events have turned a lot of these places into legitimate weekend destinations.

Pick the Farm That Matches Your Crowd

  • Big all-day fall festival: Dewberry Farm, YesterLand Farm or Mainstay Farm
  • Classic pumpkin-and-corn-maze day: Hall’s Pumpkin Farm, Sweet Berry Farm or At’l Do Farms
  • Houston-area weekend: P-6 Farms or Dewberry Farm
  • San Antonio-area road trip: South Texas Maize
  • West Texas fall day: Fiddlesticks Farms

Houston Area: Go Big or Go Country

Dewberry Farm — Brookshire

2026 season: September 12–November 8

Dewberry is what happens when a pumpkin patch keeps adding things until it becomes a full fall amusement park. The farm currently advertises more than 40 rides and attractions, an 8-acre corn maze, a Texas-sized pumpkin patch, animals, food and nighttime programming.

This is not the stop for somebody who wants to wander through a quiet little patch, buy one pumpkin and leave. It is the stop when the kids want rides, somebody wants festival food, somebody else wants pictures and nobody is ready to go home after 45 minutes.

Go for: the all-day experience. Know before you go: after-dark BOOriffic Nights add a spookier layer later in the season. Check the official Dewberry Farm schedule.

P-6 Farms — Montgomery

Current 2026 Fall Fest listing: October 3–November 8

P-6 has become one of the best fall-day options north of Houston because it mixes the farm stuff with enough actual entertainment to keep a group moving: a corn maze, U-pick pumpkins and flowers, pig races, vintage rides, food, adult drinks and plenty of places designed for the annual family-photo campaign.

The biggest advantage is location. For Montgomery, Conroe and The Woodlands, this does not have to become an overnight trip or a cross-Houston expedition.

Go for: a full fall day without driving across half the state. P-6 lists themed weekends throughout the season, so check the current Fall Fest calendar before choosing your date.

DFW: The Fall-Festival Arms Race

Mainstay Farm — Cleburne

2026 Pumpkin Fall Days: September 20–November 7

Mainstay calls itself the “Biggest Backyard in Texas,” which is bold, but the place has enough going on to at least make the argument. More than 30 attractions, pumpkins, food, drinks, farm wine and Mainstay Nights after dark make it work for families during the day and adults who do not want the evening to end at 5:15.

Go for: a mixed-age group where the adults would also like to enjoy themselves. October Friday and Saturday hours run into the evening. See the 2026 Pumpkin Fall Days schedule.

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze — Grapevine

2026 season: October 2–November 1

Hall’s feels more like the classic version of fall: pumpkins, hay bales, corn stalks, tractors, a corn maze and hayrides. That is exactly why it belongs on this list.

Not every fall outing needs a roller coaster and fireworks. If you want the family-photo version of a pumpkin farm with an actual maze and plenty of seasonal atmosphere, Hall’s makes sense.

Important: Hall’s currently says it is cash only. Check the official 2026 hours before heading out.

YesterLand Farm — Canton

2026 Fall Festival: September 19–November 8

YesterLand is another full-production fall destination: pumpkin patch, corn maze, 30-plus rides and attractions, flower picking, animals, food and nighttime fireworks. Spooktacular Nights turn the farm creepier after dark on select dates.

This is a good choice when “let’s go to a pumpkin patch” secretly means “please give the kids enough to do for several hours.”

Go for: rides plus fall atmosphere. Parking is currently free. Check the YesterLand Fall Festival page.

Central and South Texas: Better Once the Heat Backs Off

Sweet Berry Farm — Marble Falls

Sweet Berry is one of the easiest Hill Country fall days to build around. The farm is currently open for its fall season with pumpkins, the Texas Maze, hayrides, flower picking, goat activities, pumpkin painting and a bunch of smaller kid-friendly attractions.

The nice part is that you can pair it with Marble Falls and the surrounding Hill Country instead of treating the farm as the entire trip.

Go for: a lower-key Hill Country day. Current fall hours are generally Thursday through Sunday plus Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesday closed. Check Sweet Berry Farm before driving because crop availability changes.

South Texas Maize at Graff 7A Ranch — Hondo

2026 opening: September 26

The South Texas Maize delayed its 2026 opening by a week because, in true Texas fashion, the first version of fall was still basically summer. That actually tells you something useful: go later in the season if you can.

The ranch has an 8-acre corn maze, a 3-acre pumpkin patch, hayrides, slides, animals, campfires, food and plenty of kid activities. Friday evening hours begin in October and November, which is a nice option when daytime temperatures remain stubborn.

Go for: San Antonio-area families who want a real corn-maze day. See the current South Texas Maize schedule.

West Texas: Yes, Fall Still Happens Out There

At’l Do Farms — Lubbock

2026 season: September 12–November 7

At’l Do leans into the maze. The featured corn maze is the anchor, but the farm also has Pumpkin Hollow after dark, a hayride to the pumpkin patch, sunflowers, animals, a cow train and food on site.

Most guests spend roughly two to four hours there, according to the farm, and the full maze usually takes around 45 minutes to an hour. That makes this one of the easier entries on the list to plan without turning the whole day into a marathon.

Go for: the maze first, pumpkins second. See the official season information.

Fiddlesticks Farms — Midland

2026 Fall Festival: September 26–November 21

Fiddlesticks gives West Texas a proper fall-farm destination with a 7-acre maze, 10-acre pumpkin patch, hayrides, animals, food and more than 25 attractions. October Saturday nights also bring fireworks.

If you live in Midland-Odessa, this is the obvious local answer. If you are traveling through West Texas, it is also proof you do not have to drive east for every seasonal thing worth doing.

Go for: a West Texas family day that can stretch into evening. Check Fiddlesticks Farms for peak-date ticket rules.

A Better Way to Pick Your Weekend

Do not pick solely by whichever farm has the cutest pumpkin photo on Instagram.

Think about your group. Little kids usually need shorter lines and easy attractions more than they need the state’s most elaborate corn maze. Teenagers tend to appreciate rides, nighttime events and actual food. Adults with no kids may be happier somewhere with live music, drinks and enough going on after dark to make the drive worthwhile.

And in September and early October, check the temperature. South Texas Maize already moved its 2026 opening because of extreme heat. A “fall” afternoon in Texas can still be a heat-management exercise.

Thunderfoot Take

If I wanted the biggest production, I would look at Dewberry, YesterLand or Mainstay. If I wanted the classic pumpkin-farm feel, Hall’s or Sweet Berry would be closer to the mark. Around Houston, P-6 is hard to beat for convenience, and South Texas Maize is the one I would save for a cooler October weekend.

The trick is not finding the “best” pumpkin patch in Texas. It is finding the one that matches the people getting in the car with you.

Dates and operating details checked September 21, 2026. Farm schedules can change for weather, crops and private events, so verify directly before driving.
